Understanding our cancellation and refund procedures for job posting packages

1. Introduction
This Cancellation & Refund Policy applies to employer subscription plans purchased on Practitionist ("Practitionist Technologies Pvt. Ltd."). Job seekers use our platform free of charge and are not subject to this policy.
By purchasing a subscription, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy. Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.
2. Free Plan
Our Starter (Free) plan does not require payment and therefore is not subject to cancellation or refund policies. You can upgrade to a paid plan or delete your account at any time.
3. Paid Subscription Cancellation
3.1 Monthly Subscriptions
- You may cancel your monthly subscription at any time
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle
- You will retain access to paid features until the end of your billing period
- No partial refunds are provided for unused days within a billing cycle
3.2 Annual Subscriptions
- Annual subscriptions may be cancelled at any time
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the annual billing cycle
- Refunds for annual subscriptions are handled case-by-case (see Section 5)
3.3 How to Cancel
To cancel your subscription:
- Log in to your employer account
- Go to Settings → Subscription
- Click "Cancel Subscription"
- Confirm your cancellation

4. Free Trial Policy
If you are on a free trial of our Professional plan:
- You will not be charged during the trial period
- Cancel before the trial ends to avoid charges
- If you don't cancel, your subscription will automatically convert to paid
- First charge occurs at the end of the 14-day trial period
Tip: Set a reminder before your trial ends to decide whether to continue with the paid subscription.
5. Refund Eligibility
5.1 Eligible for Refund
You may be eligible for a refund in the following cases:
- Technical Issues: Platform was inaccessible for extended periods due to our fault
- Duplicate Charges: You were charged multiple times for the same subscription
- Unauthorized Charges: Charges made without your authorization (requires verification)
- Within 7 Days: First-time subscribers may request a refund within 7 days of initial purchase if service was not as expected
5.2 Not Eligible for Refund
Refunds are generally not provided for:
- Change of mind after the 7-day window
- Failure to cancel before auto-renewal
- Unused job posting credits
- Violation of our Terms & Conditions leading to account termination
- Situations where hiring didn't occur (we don't guarantee hiring outcomes)
6. Refund Process
6.1 How to Request a Refund
To request a refund:
- Email our support team at support@practitionist.com
- Include your account email and order/transaction ID
- Explain the reason for your refund request
- Attach any relevant documentation or screenshots
6.2 Processing Time
- Refund requests are reviewed within 3-5 business days
- Approved refunds are processed within 7-10 business days
- Refunds are credited to the original payment method
- Bank processing may take an additional 5-7 business days
6.3 Refund Amounts
- Full refunds are provided for eligible cases within the 7-day window
- Partial refunds may be provided for annual subscriptions on a pro-rata basis
- Platform fees and processing charges may be deducted from refunds
7. Plan Downgrades
If you wish to downgrade your plan (e.g., from Enterprise to Professional):
- The downgrade takes effect at the next billing cycle
- You retain current plan features until the cycle ends
- No refunds are provided for the difference in plan costs
- Excess job postings may be deactivated upon downgrade
8. Enterprise Agreements
Enterprise customers with custom agreements may have different cancellation and refund terms as specified in their individual contracts. Please refer to your enterprise agreement or contact your account manager for details.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cancellation & Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Existing subscriptions will be honored under the terms at the time of purchase unless you agree to new terms.
